The Early Care and Education Collaborative:
This collaborative is a multi-year project consisting of eight state-based child advocacy organizations working on child care issues.

Connecticut Voices for Children:
This group is dedicated to improving the lives of children and youth through high-quality research and public policy analyses. It also consists of an active communications program, a commitment to promoting youth leadership and youth voice, and effective citizen mobilization and organizational collaboration.

Ready, Set, Grow:

National Association for the Education of Young Children:
The NAEYC is a national organization dedicated to the improvement of early care education centers, the professionalization of child care workers through training and education and advocacy for early child education and care.

State Education Resource Council (SERC):
This organization is a resource for parents, teachers and other professional who work with children. SERC is home to the education library for the state, and puts on many professional development events and conferences throughout the year.

Birth to Three:
This is a place to go if you are concerned about the development of a child under the age of three years old. They provide services, resources and referrals for families and professionals.

Early Childhood Research and Policy Council:
Governor M. Jodi Rell created the Early Childhood Research and Policy Council to develop a multi-year plan to shape Connecticut's investment to improve school readiness for all children.  The Council functions as an advocacy, data collecting, and policy drafting organization.  It is made up of early childhood experts, philanthropic representatives and advocates.

Building Blocks
Building Blocks aims to provide comprehensive mental health services for children, birth through five, with social emotional challenges and their families in Southeast Connecticut, while expanding the existing system of care to increase the capacity and expertise in  early childhood mental health with science-based information on screening, assessment, referral and early intervention.

The Early Care and Education Collaborative:
The Early Care and Education Collaborative is a multi-year project of seven state-based child advocacy organizations working on child care issues. The Communications Consortium Media Center (CCMC) coordinates the Collaboration. The project's purpose is to design and implement strategic public education strategies aimed at creating the public will in each of the target states to expand both the supply and the quality of early care and education resources. Further, the Collaborative wants to share "lessons learned" on this unique partnership with the broader child care community.

Presently, the state partners are; Association for Children of New Jersey, Citizens for Missouri's Children, Colorado's Children's Campaign, CT Voices for Children, Kansas Action for Children, Pennsylvania Partnerships for Children and Voices for Illinois Children. CCMC is a Washington, DC-based public interest media organization.

Council for Professional Recognition:
Founded in 1985, the Council for Professional Recognition is a nonprofit organization located in Washington, DC. The Council promotes improved performance and recognition of professionals in early childhood care and education — the people who work with children from birth through five years of age in early childhood centers, family child care homes, and as home visitors.
